When a tool is sitting in Ohio or overseas and your operations team needs parts next to the Gulf Coast, the problem is not “finding a molder.” It is finding one that can take the tool, run the resin you spec, and ship without a six-week conversation.
A&M Plastics has molded industrial and energy-adjacent components in South Houston since 1988. We run presses from 100 to 1,100 tons, two-shot and overmold work, extrusion, sonic welding, hot stamping, assembly, warehousing, and drop-ship — minutes from Hobby and I-45.
• Local. Plant visits, tool tryouts, and quality walks without a plane ticket.
• Capacity range. Small lots on 100-ton presses and large parts on 1,100 tons — one vendor.
• Secondary operations in-house. Weld, stamp, assemble, bag, and ship from the same building.
• Inventory. We can hold finished goods and release against a forecast instead of forcing you to take a full run into your warehouse.
• Reshoring / mold transfer. If the tool is already built, send photos, last-shot samples, and the process sheet. We will tell you quickly whether it will run here.
Materials commonly requested: PP, PE, nylon (including glass-filled), acetal, PC, ABS, TPE/TPU overmolds, and weatherable grades for outdoor markers and covers. We process to your print — we do not pretend every shop is API 6A elastomer certified. If the part is thermoplastic and the tool fits our presses, we want the RFQ.
