Texas medical device, diagnostics, and dental companies keep losing weeks to molders who treat a Houston program as a mail-order job. A&M Plastics is a South Houston custom molder with two-shot / two-color presses, robots, assembly, and 35+ years of production discipline.
We are a custom thermoplastic molder that already runs medical-adjacent components. We are not advertising ourselves as an ISO 13485 cleanroom house on this page. If a program requires that certification, say so in the RFQ and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit or a qualified production partner for non-sterile, non-implant housings and handles.
A&M Plastics remained open through the Covid-19 pandemic to produce products that we used in labs for the development of Covid test kits.
• In depth product knowledge. We inquire exactly what is needed for the end use of the product to be able to fine tune our operations for your needs.
• Two-shot and overmolding. Dual-durometer grips and two-color identification without a second step or second vendor.
• Robotic handling. Less cosmetic damage on visible housings.
• Secondary operations. Sonic welding, hot stamping, assembly, and pack-out under one PO.
• U.S. production. Shorter feedback loops than an overseas tool that cannot be touched for eight weeks.
If you need a Class II implant, sterile barrier packaging validation, or a certified cleanroom lot, we are not there yet. If you need a durable housing, a two-shot handle, or a high-volume health-product component made in Houston, we can help you.
